Steve has been known to be a little ADD (that's attention deficit) at times. Sometimes this really works to the advantage of those he happens to be with; family, friends co-workers etc. If someone needs a drink, all they have to do is ask. Dinnertime? He's got the seat closest to the refrigerator/cupboards so if anyone needs anything, he can get it. Anyway, he recently decided it would be a good idea to find a hobby which would occupy his mind and force him to focus on the task at hand. He came up with pen making. It's actually really neat, he spins the wood while taking a 'wood planer' (sp?) to it and carves it down over the inside mechanics of a pen.
It's so neat to see him start with a block of wood and 20 minutes later, WALA - you have a pen. What's even neater is that the girls love to help him and have made a few pens themselves. What's not so neat is the red wood shavings all over the garage. :)

I second the benefits to Steve's "energy." I've never felt so spoiled!! And you forgot to mention that when you forget that all important ingredient at the store he is more than happy to go get it. He will also come back with sodas!
This all looks very Andrew Bell, Benjamin Franklin. I'm impressed. I knew Rylee would be by his side, just like she is in the kitchen! I think the lack of handyman skills are all a front, he can make a pen but he can't fix a toilet, yeah right!
I should be so nice Teish! Your verbage sounds so much nicer than mine - 'energy'! I don't know how I forgot the all important ingredient - that's huge!
